What is this?

This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the MovieSweep app and what we do with it.

Because we decide what happens to the information we are “a data controller” under the Data Protection Act 1998. We take your privacy very seriously. If you want any more information, there are useful resources available at www.ico.org.uk or please e-mail us at support@moviesweep.com

What information do we collect and how do we use it?

Information you give us

• Searches
• Geo location
• Movie / Films info by way of your selection
• Number of tips used

This helps us work out your preferences and personalise the films for future sweeps and future versions of the game.

To make sign in easier, we will use Facebook or similar sign in mechanics. If you don’t want to give us your Facebook, you can still use the app. Your name i.e. what you type in or your email address will be used as your display name for the global ranking on MovieSweep.

Correspondence with us

If you contact us by phone, e-mail or otherwise, then we may keep a record of your correspondence. This might be if you have a problem with the app and/or wish to report the problem and give us feedback.

You don’t have to give us any personal information when you contact us.

Information we automatically collect

Technical information

What device you are using, your mobile ID number, the Internet protocol (IP), type of browser, ISP and language preferences.

How do we collect and store information

Stored in conjunction with the privacy policy: You consent to MovieSweep or our Group Company processing data for administrative, scoreboard/leaderboard/global ranking, in order to comply with legal requirements and obligations to third parties.

You consent to the transfer of such information to any of our Group Company and the Company’s business contacts outside the European Economic Area and in accordance with all regulatory authorities as required by law.

How long do we keep the information for?

We may hold it for two years. If you haven’t used the app in two years, we will make your info anonymous and aggregate any information about you so you cannot be individually identified. Any questions, please e-mail: support@moviesweep.com

Do we give your personal data to third parties?

The Company may make such information available to those who provide services to the Company (such as advisors or our board of directors), regulatory authorities, and as may be required by law, but the information we give them will not identify any individuals. We follow the data protect act Data Protection Act 1998. You should not post anything you do not wish shared.

What happens if this policy changes?

We keep our privacy policy under review and any changes we make will appear here, or as an update where appropriate. We will notify you of a change when you next start the app. The new terms may be displayed on-screen and you may be required to read and accept them to continue your use of the app.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By downloading and installing using the App you agree to these terms and conditions (including our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use). We recommend that you print a copy of these terms for future reference.

If you do not agree to the terms then you should not use the App, and you should delete the app immediately.

MovieSweep Ltd (“We”) give you a non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the App on your mobile device for your personal use, in accordance with the terms set out below and any terms, rules or policies set any app store from those sites you downloaded the App. The App remains our property at all times.

Our Privacy Policy forms part of these terms and conditions, and by using the App you consents to the above. We cannot guarantee the security of the data transmitted to us, and so any transmission at your own risk.

The App allows to you to access MovieSweep on your mobile device. The use of MovieSweep is governed by our Terms of Use, which are incorporated into this licence.

We will assume that you have the permission of the owner of the mobile device to download, install and use the app, and you will be responsible for any charges imposed by your mobile network provider.

Your mobile network operator may charge you to access the App. You are responsible for these charges.

CONDITIONS OF USE

Except as expressly set out in this licence as permitted by local law, you agree:

• Not to copy the App except where copying is incidental to the normal use of the App;
• Not to rent, lease or sub-license, loan, translate, merge or adapt the App;
• Not make alterations or modifications or be combined with any other App;
• Not to dissemble or decompile or reverse-engineer to create derivative works (by virtue of section 296A of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988).
• Not to damage or compromise our system or security or the security with other users; and
• Not to collect or harvest any information or data from the App.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

All intellectual property rights in the App anywhere in the world belong to our licensors or us.

Any rights in the App are licenced (not sold) to you, and that you have no rights, in or to the App other than the rights to use each of them in accordance with the terms of this licence.

You have no right to have access to the App in source-code form.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The App has not been developed to meet your individual requirements, and it is therefore your responsibility to ensure that the facilities and functions of the App meet your requirements.

VIRUSES

We do not guarantee that the App will be secure or free from bugs or viruses.

You must not knowingly mis-use the app.

We will report any breech to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use the App will cease immediately.

INDEMNITY

You agree to undemify, defend and hold us harmless from any liability, loss, claim and expense (including reasonable legal fees) related to your breach of these terms and conditions.

TERMINATION

We may terminate use of the App, at any time by giving us notice of termination to you.

Upon any termination:

• All rights granted to you under this licence shall cease; and
• You must immediately cease all activities authorised by this licence, including your use of MovieSweep.

OTHER TERMS

We may transfer our rights and obligations under this licence to another organisation, but this will not affect your rights or our obligations.

Please note that this licence, its subject matter and it information are governed by UK law. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may change these terms at any time by notifying you of a change when you next start the App. The new terms may be displayed on-screen and you may be required to read and accept them to continue your use of the Services.

From time to time updates to the App may be issued through an app store. Depending on the update, you may not be able to use the App until you have downloaded the latest version and accepted any new terms.
